Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne takes you into a vast new chapter in the epic Warcraft universe. You'll revisit the war-torn world of Azeroth where several months have passed since Archimonde and the Burning Legion were defeated at the battle of Mount Hyjal. But now a new threat has arisen throughout the land and it is up to you to navigate this extraordinary land full of elves, orcs, humans and other amazing creatures.
My review
I had never previously played an RTS before I played Warcraft III, and I really did not know what I was missing. What a great genre! There is just something about playing a real time strategy against live opponents online. It takes gaming to a whole new level - boring computer AI becomes almost unplayable. On top of that, noone comes close to creating an RTS like Blizzard.

With the ability to create hero classes on top of normal units, WC3 raised the bar for RTSs. This Frozen Throne expansion added new units, heroes, items and structures on top of the ones released with the original, Reign of Chaos.

This game has by far the largest e-sport following out of any non-FPS game in the market. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are given away in tournaments for the top WC3 players of the world.

Turn-based fantasy strategy game Introducing the unique "Job" system, allowing characters to train in different character classes Over 40 different monsters to encounter Incredibly detailed and complex storyline For 1 player, Platforms: PlayStation, ESRB Rating: Teen
My review
One of the greatest games of all time. I'm a big fan of strategy games, and Squaresoft produces of the finest ever made. Unfortunately it is no longer in print...making it quite pricey to get a hold of. Amazon marketplace or ebay are your best bets, but expect to pay around $80.

The best Zelda game ever released. A pretty solid staple on any person's top game pick list.

Not only was this game innovative, the gameplay is very fun, the story line is interesting, even the music is catchy. On top of all of that, it is part of the most popular series in gaming history. In fact, Link has been coined the most liked gaming character of all time by any statistic.

While I dont still have my nintendo lying around, I've went back and played this on an emulator. It was still fun, even considering the huge jumps in technological innovation since this game's release date.

Genre: Role-Playing, Publisher: Vivendi Universal, Platform(s): Windows, Mac, ESRB Rating: T - (Teen), Media: CD-ROM
My review
It's a great game! Very time consuming, so if you are a casual gamer this is probably not the game for you. But if you like deep, highly supported online multiplayer games then this is the best out there.

In fact, there are so many aspects to the game, that you are sure to find something in it that you enjoy. You can wander around beautiful, expansive environments that range from bustling city roof tops, to desolate dessert barrens, to lush, animal-filled rain forests.

If that's not your thing, you can team up with up to 24 other players to take on expansive dungeon challenges, all of which are detailed parts of a large well expressed storyline. Or, play with just a couple friends against other players in a competitive strategic battleground, or a no-holds barred death match arena.

This old school compilation from Square includes "Final Fantasy IV" (known as "FF2" as a 1991 US SNES release which introduced the Active Time Battle system) and "Chrono Trigger" (1995's precursor to the wildly popular "Chrono Cross").Format: PSX Genre: RPG (VG)/ Rating: T - Teen UPC: 662248901015 Manufacturer No: 9796
My review
Screw Final Fantasy IV, this compilation has Chrono Trigger! I was always into the genre, so I can be a real critic, and this is by far the best turn based RPGs ever made. The combat system utilized inter-party combo's which allowed for very deep and fun party selection choices.

On top of that the story line was top notch. A real standard of the genre.

I'm pretty sure this is by far and away the most popular Final Fantasy game in the series in the US. The story line was one of the most complex, and interesting to ever be seen in video game format. I literally had to play it several times over just to fully understand and appreciate it all. The characters were developed superbly, and the plot twists constant and inventive.

The gameplay is a bit too easy for my liking, but the sheer amount of fun content more than makes up for it. You can find many different secret items and abilities by exploring and completing the optional content.

As you can see from the price tag, this game is no longer in print, and is quite the collective. Not sure if the PC version is available and/or cheaper but it's worth looking into.

Mario Kart 64     Added Apr 15, 2008

Mario's version of a racing game. Pick your character and battle it out with your friends or the computer. Being a Mario game, it's obviously not realistic by any means. Hop over giant ramps that would be impossible by real physics, throw turtle shells or drop banana peals on the track to spin your opponents out of control.

What better times could be had with friends than drinking and playing 4 player mariokart? Lots of things maybe...but this one is up there!

Unfortunately, it's also another classic that is now out of print, and thus very pricey to get a hold of!

In Devil May Cry, a young man named awakes to his destiny -- using his half-demon heritage to defeat an evil as old as humanity! You'll marvel at the engrossing stories, and your heart will stop when Dante enters the demon realm to avenge mankind!
My review
By far the most fun game of the Devil May Cry series. All releases since this have lost alot of the fun and simplicity that this game had.

The boss fights are fun, the story-line is pretty interesting, and it has great replay value. I definitely played this game over a couple times on different difficulty levels; including "Dante Must Die" mode, which is REALLY hard. Very fun.
