My review
Ok, so sometimes you need a dress shoe, you might even have to wear a suit and your flip-flops just don't match. Well if you get a pair of dress shoes, get a pair like this with the really long square toe that juts out. I guess they are in style. Check GQ or Details or something. Johnston and Murphy is a good enough brand for me. You can buy something Italian and expensive maybe made by Daniel Day-Lewis in his cobbler phase if you want too, also. Again see one of the sources above for what brands are cool. Dolce something, I expect.

Plain and simple, these are awesome snowshoes. So they are not technically a shoe and if you want you could say they don't belong in the "Only Shoes" list but you'd be wrong. Unless you live in Florida. Or Costa Rica. Or Cuba. But hey maybe you can figure out something to with them in the water. They're that cool.

My review
An all-leather, vibram-soled hiking boot can't be replaced some time. I'll light pack and use my day-hikers, even flip flops as much as possible, but you can't beat the feeling a pair of these gets you when you hit the trail for a few days with a heavy pack. Like you could keep going and never stop. Also essential for snow-shoeing.

My review
Start picking nits if you will that a trail-runner will do what this shoe does and it shouldn't be on the "Only Shoes" list as a separate item. I'll beg to differ. I've had a pair of Salomon low-top hiking shoes for almost 10 years and they look about as good as new. They haven't been sitting in my closet either. They've been up 14ers, across rivers, through snow drifts and in beer soaked dive bars. Use them and abuse them.

My review
In snow country you either wear boots in the winter-time or have wet and cold socks and ankles. The Blundstone classic is the boot for all seasons and uses. Dressy enough for business casual, casual enough for hanging out and durable enough for the job site. They last forever too.

My review
The Brooks trail runners aren't exactly known for the neutral colors (my Cascadia 2s are bright orange) but even if you're not flashy these are about the the function over the form. An outstanding shoe for road, trail and gym. A quiver of one in a running shoe and a solid price to boot.

My review
In most parts of the country this is the only thing that you need on your foot for more than 6 months of the year. Here in Colorado, it is considered dress wear in the summer time. Chacos are bullet-proof as well. You'd need a blow-torch to damage them. Perfect for Colorado camping when you're lounging around the campsite and made in in Paonia, Colorado - Colorado Wine Country.
