One of the top 10 hip-hop albums of all time, in my opinion. Tribe brought quality, positive lyrics on an release that alot of people can relate to. I think the song "Stressed Out" was even performed on Nickelodeon (I don't know how I know this!!); that is quite the feat for a album that even the most hardcore of hip-hop fans praise.
If you like laid back, chill, inspiring hip-hop with great lyrics than Tribe Called Quest is definitely your style. Check out De La Soul or Digable Planets for a similar sound, and also great artists.
tribe is great. in the 90s gangsta rap was blowing up and huge. and tribe was one of the few who was still keeping it positive. so you have to respect that. i love their flow and style. very smooth.
