About Canon
Based out of Tokyo, Japan, Canon is a multinational corporation that originally made a name for itself within imaging and optics. Founded in 1937, the corporation is one of the world's leading manufacturers of cameras, photocopiers, and computer printers. Canon was the first to introduce many technologies in Japan, such as the the first 35mm focal plane-shutter camera and an indirect x-ray camera within the first five years. Canon's worldwide partnerships are too extensive to list, but some of their notable US-based partnerships include: the National Football League, PGA Tour, New York Yankees, and the US Open.
