About Samsung
Samsung was founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-Chul as a small trading company located in the city of South Korean city of Daegu. The prosperous company was forced to move to the city of Busan in 1950 and start over; this move was a result of the communist invasion that occurred in Seoul at the time. The company is the global market leader for more than 60 products: digital displays (LCD, plasma, and OLED), DVD players, Blu-ray players, home cinema systems, set-top boxes, projectors, mobile phones, MP3 players, digital cameras and camcorders, computer monitors, laptops, laser printers, refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, ovens, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, SDRAM, flash memory, and hard drives (just to name a few).
