The threat of world destruction lurks in almost all role-playing games as the inevitable consequence should the hero fail in his quest. In DarkCloud, however, the world is destroyed by a malevolent genie in the very beginning, and it's your job to put it back together. This action/RPG will require you to battle your way through dungeons to collect vital artifacts with which you'll rebuild the game's world in real-time 3-D. From there, you can view the world from above, zoom in, revolve 360 degrees around it, and, of course, explore it for more artifacts to build other parts of the world. less

Does the game need a memory card to save your progress? |
| Pros | Engaging plot, gameplay, and just sheer amount of things to do. |
| Cons | Nonexistent voice acting, gameplay. |
| Bottom Line | It has its downsides, but this is, and has been, one of my favorite RPGs. |
| Pros | Deep storyline, good gameplay innovations |
| Cons | Not quite so good graphics, weapons system needs work |
| Pros | Georama part,graphics,control |
| Cons | Quite short!!!We want more! |
| Pros | random dungeon system, easy action-adventure game, assorted party of characters, Georama premise |
| Cons | weapon degradation system, thirst system, no XP, some control/mechanic issues |
| Bottom Line | Dark Cloud is a decent game featuring some cool invitations, but not much else to merit excitement. I should've played it back in 2001, I guess. |
| Pros | Nice graphics and storyline. Cut scenes were actually pretty good. |
| Cons | Random generated dungoens, terrible monsters, horrible weapon systems. |
| Bottom Line | I found to be a waste of money and time from other better games. Always rent before you buy and be careful at sales |
